The Lansing Symphony Orchestra (LSO) is an American symphony orchestra based in Lansing, Michigan. It was founded in 1929 and led by its first music director, Izler Solomon. Since 2006, the orchestra has been led by Music Director Timothy Muffitt.
History
The LSO offers many different types of orchestral concerts during its seasons.
MasterWorks and Pops concerts are held at the Wharton Center at Michigan State University. Chamber concerts take place at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lansing. Big Band concerts are performed at Dart Auditorium at Lansing Community College.
